the true meaning of christmas
is for all those folks around you who care to stick their necks out for you when its needed. thanks to our neighbours who stopped the flood and volunteered to be plumbers. thanks to aj who did some mcguyver plumber moves so i could get some sleep without waking up to The Flood Part III. thanks to our plumber who did the job after a long day of work. thanks to the family friends who helped with the hospital trips. thanks to the hospital staff (even though its their job). thanks to the bf who got up ridiculously early and stayed extra long at the airport. thanks to the b f who came over to help throw out stuff. thanks tarik for yet another wicked card. thanks mom for holdin it down and doing what has to be done. thanks to all those folks that gave me a good laugh over the holidays (like the monkey, the potato, the hemstar and 80s throwback glasses). that kind of stuff makes you feel blessed.

requiem for a friend (de)parted
december 27th marks one year of the divorce (?) parting of ways of mzsassuniverse and captain sassyrage. i wish you the best dude as always! missing the corny jokes. noone does our brand of bad humour quite like we do. plus, noone else is as adept at beating a joke to death like you. hope we have a reunion tour before we're old and grey.

decisions, decisions
so much love. so many plans. why is time finite? and time plays tricks too. it goes fast and other times its painfully slow. i really am getting old.

new years
right so like the new year is upon me, us, whatever, looming like a thundercloud in the sky. this is one time when forward planning might backfire. i'd like to bail now, but that might mean the original crowd of 5 might only be 2- none of which is my fault. and this work STILL has to get done. argh. could stay here, clean, work, and go to a family party, all for less stress and less loot than following through with the original plan of going to t'go. argh.

stories of wackness
kool haus on friday was like a flashback to someone else's worst high school reunion. gah. i remember (rocking on my rocking chair under my afghan) when fridays at guv would be so packed you couldn't move. plus everyone there was from scarborough. when we went, it was practically a ghost town. then it became a gino fest, then a sausage fest. and we were treated to a stripper show and got followed around. good times. this is why we travel with boys. thank goodness it was free.

the good sheppard is fantastically boring. mind-numbing even. people were asleep all around me. i stayed awake (and in the theatre) because i had a false sense of duty as a history teacher to watch the entire movie like a history channel special. animal planet... even watching paint dry... is more exciting than that movie. ARGH.

I would have to agree. The Good Sheppard kinda sorta sucked really kinda hard. That's y I fell fast asleep son. I think next time we should see Sky Captain. I heard that's a MUCH better flick ;)
