so just before stella came, there was a [dead] lizard squashed on my door. actually when she landed, that's when i discovered poor mr. lizard who was accidentally squished between my bedroom door and the doorframe. yesterday after she'd left, i went into the batroom after talking to her and what did i see in the shower stall? an even larger lizard. looking at me. we had a staring battle, then i ran the shower and it disappeared. those things run fast!
kinda bizarro.
anyway, it was nice to show a friend around town. hema managed to resist the pull of trinidad this march break. but i bet, if i had known about the wonder that is tobago last year and we'd gone there, she'd be on the first plane she could catch.
tobago is kind of addictive. slow laid back pace. beaches all over the place. and every time is a good time. if it wasn't for a variety of family things, i would have stuck with the original easter plan - staying down here, and lounging in tobago for part of my 2 weeks off. eh well. whatever.
everything happens the way its meant too.
besides, i'm going to go on a road trip! to the 'wa!! haven't been there in quite some time. i *think* we're going to Ottawa. that rumour hasn't been confirmed. eh well. it'll be a good time whatever happens.
new fave slows...
Sean Paul - Pepperpot
stupid concept, but sweet lyrics never mind the food analogy. this took me 2 weeks to find. so groovy and sweet!
Chris Brown - With You
sweet lyrics that make SENSE! awwww! "if i got you, i dont need money, i dont need cars".... must not have experienced a canadian winter on public transit. but whatever...

at the end of the video they slip from scenes to stupid slow shutter capture filter (?) that looks trippy. like they got to the middle, weren't sure what to do and then did some drugs, and thought a trippy effect would seal the deal.
but then it ends with a first love scene. that look you had for your first Friend in high school - like their presence just saved you from a slow painful death.
i see kids like that at work. there is one couple, they're always together in between classes, but they look unhappy. like - in pain to be together and in pain to be apart. i DONT miss that part of adoloscence one bit.
but the nostalgia is always sweeter than the pain.
